Singapore infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF) is Singapore’s premier infocomm industry association and brings together 400 corporate members from MNCs and local companies. The main charter of the federation is to assist its members in business development, market intelligence, overseas trade missions, networking and alliances.

eGov Chapter sealed MoU with IT Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) of Egypt in its recent mission trip

The eGov Chapter recently completed a successful mission trip to Egypt on 11-14 Jan 2009. Led by Mr. Pang Hee Hon, Chair of eGov Chapter, and IE Singapore, the 9-company delegation itinerary for the four-day were packed with 1:1 business meetings. The delegation met with 15 Egyptian companies. Over 50 meeting sessions were setup for exchange and business exploration. The delegation also visited the various ministries, witnessed in the MoU signing ceremony and met with the Minister for Communication and IT.

 

The MoU took place on the first day (11 Jan), representing SiTF eGov Chapter, Mr. Pang Hee Hon signed a MoU with ITIDA represented by its CEO, Dr. Hazem Y. Abedelazim. The MoU is to promote bilateral cooperation through activities and programmes related to ICT, especially cyber security. The ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Tarek Kamel, Minister for MCIT and our Singapore Ambassador, Mr Wong Kwok Pun.
The MoU covers areas such as:
Ø      Maintaining high-level of periodical communication and sharing of reports and printings
Ø      Exchanging of expertise
Ø      Increasing exports of IT products and services

 

This is a milestone for the secretariat in internationalization efforts and forming an alliance of our Singapore Inc.
